Within the framework of the European University Alliance EULiST “European Universities Linking Society and Technology”, the University of L’Aquila organizes in cooperation with Institute Mines Tèlècom, France; Leibniz University Hannover, Germany; National Technical University of Athens, Greece; University of Macedonia, Greece; Tallinn University, Estonia; Sumy State University, Ukraine; Polytechnic of Santarem, Portugal; Tbilisi State University, Georgia; the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled “Transversal and critical digital skills in the era of generative technologies for inclusion, upskilling and reskilling”.
Digital skills have long been a key focus, typically centered on the functional use of devices, software, and technology for efficiency. While frameworks like DigComp include transversal skills such as critical thinking and collaboration, these are often underemphasized. As technology becomes more embedded in daily life, postdigital literacies grow increasingly relevant.
The emergence of generative AI and large language models marks a shift in this landscape. Public discourse around these tools often lacks critical and ethical reflection, with productivity sometimes mistaken for competence. Overreliance on such technologies risks cognitive deskilling and may deepen social inequalities and exclusion.
The BIP programme responds to this challenge by promoting a curriculum that emphasizes the critical, responsible, and transparent use of digital tools—helping to prevent de-skilling and support more inclusive digital futures.
The participating students will be awarded 4 ECTS credits by the coordinating university: University of L’Aquila, Italy
