Dr. Anastasios A. Economides is Full Professor at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki (Greece). He is among the top 2% of the most cited researchers worldwide.  He is the Founder and Director of the SMILE (Smart & Mobile Interactive Learning Environments) laboratory at the University of Macedonia. His research interests include open, mobile, adaptive, personalised, collaborative learning & teaching, user experience, user acceptance, and digital marketing. He has published over 400 peer-reviewed papers that received over 11,000 citations. He received the Dipl.Eng./M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He teaches courses (postgraduate, undergraduate and continuing education) on Educational Technology, E-Commerce & Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Networks, etc. He has received dozens of research awards and fellowships and has been a Keynote Speaker at several international conferences.
